On October 23, 2017, Wander Brewing released their Nitro Chestnut Brown beer.
This Chestnut Brown is the first chestnut based beer to be produced in
Northwest Washington. The beer is
described as “Classic English Brown Ale brewed with Patagonian grown malted
barley and locally harvested chestnuts from Washington Chestnut Company.
5.5% ABV”. Stop in and give this beer a try at
Wander Brewing in Bellingham, WA.
What makes this beer so special? The brewmaster wanted to bring a classical
European Belgian taste and body to a chestnut beer. The malt flavor is very
nice without the bitter taste the hops traditionally bring to an IPA beer. The
beer is clear with a medium body. This Chestnut Brown beer is well worth the
travels to Bellingham.
